We only have a little spare time, so what did you do in your spare time. Did you read some good books, or maybe you like some motivational stories. I like chicken soup, its a great book to inspire us every day.

I like to write in the early hours of the morning. It really clears my mind when the house is still and my senses aren't assaulted from every angle. Sometimes I just jot down a few articles ideas or lines of poetry. Other nights I'm on a roll and can get through a lot of work. I'm one of those lucky people that falls asleep at the drop of a hat, so it doesn't matter to me if I stay up late. Those quiet times can be far more productive than the rest of the day put together but the stillness is what I love best.

Wasn't it Bismarck that liked to study/work at night (naked I might add) as he found it gave him better powers of concentration.  I think the quietness was a big part, but the naked thing also kept him cold, which stopped him from relaxing too much and drifting off to sleep.  I'm not suggesting you're naked!!!  or that pregnant women everywhere should sit up all night naked in a desperate bid for enjoyable spare time!!! 

sorry if I am drudging up old posts … I just suddenly seem to have more spare time than usual today!  lol

anyway, just wanted to say thanks for this post - it gave me a pretty hearty chuckle

LOL!!  I can't sit anywhere naked, even if I know I am all alone.  I just feelt oo exposed!
