Do you think one should continue work after pregnancy?

For how many months can one work?

Is it healthy to work or is it pressurizing?

Do you feel good?

i think there is no big problem to continue working when pregnant because normally women not working  in a adventurous environment. if every women once the get pregnant and stop working so what will happen to the family financial?…a big problem may arise.Futhermore pregnant women should do an excercise during pregnant and it seems an exercise also when you working

I think working is not an issue when your in pregnancy unless obcourse that your having hard time with it. As long as your work is not that strenous then there is really nothing wrong with working. I can remember my cousin who is pregnant was still working until the time of her labor since she is capable and healthy.

I worked right through my pregancy.  But I needed the money at the time.!!!! Laughing  I think as long as all is well, and you don't need to rest etc.. then why not???  I didn't have physical job, just office work so it was fine.  I guess it can depend on what type of work you do.   Did anybody find that they couldn't keep working?

My hubby and I are planning to have a baby next year and I've decided to continue working during pregnancy. We need the money because we bought a house 2 years ago and it will be ready in January 2009. We are excited about getting the keys and when the time comes, we have to pay for the housing loan and it is not cheap. I can't depend on my hubby's salary alone. The standard of living in Singapore is high. Both of us must work in order to pay for our expenses.

I think the decision to work while pregnant should be a decision you make with your doctor.  I worked in a group home with very active children.  I was cleared at the beginning of my pregnancy to continue to work in direct contact with the kids, but 6 months into my pregnancy I was kicked by an upset 10 year old in the belly.  Between my employer and my doctor, it was decided that I would need to take a light duty position within the company.  It was a dreadfully LONG end to the pregnancy, but I did office work until I was a week past my due date.

after my delivery, I was off work for 6 months and then went back to work.  6 weeks is the normal time to return out here, but I wanted more time with the baby.  I had a little anxiety about going back.

I think as long as the pregnancy is healthy and stable, that it is great to keep as normal a routine as possible.  I loved my job, so it was difficult for me to take a less active position, even though I knew it was safer for my pregnancy to do so.
