To avoid illness in infants, formula and bottles must be sanitized to keep them germ-free

1. Wash your hands

2. Assemble equipment:

-clean bottles, nipples and rings to be sterilized; these should washed in hot soapy water using a bottle brush and allowed to drain

-large kettle filled halfway with water

-tongs

-clean dish or paper towels to set sterile bottles on

3. Bring to a boil and put bottles, rings into the sterilizer. Use tongs to push bottles under water.

4. Bring water to boil  for about 15 minutes and add the nipples and boil for another 5 minutes.

5. After 20 minutes of boiling, using tongs, remove bottles, nipples and rings ,draining the water into the pot. Set everything on the clean towel. When dry ,store in a clean and dry cabinet

This all is so very important and I think all the mommies do take care of these aspects. I used to repeat this process twice every day. I made it sure that the babies are fed with bottles but completly sterlized ones. I have read in an article that there are certain sterlizing cabinets  available in which you can keep the bottle after rinsing and the sterlizing part will be taken care of by the electronic cabinet. Is anyone aware of this?
