Got in all the festive stuff yet? If you have, you're more organized than me! I still have a few odds and ends to pick up plus whatever's for the Christmas Day meal.

I think we'll go for a ham and a turkey roast both to save any disputes over one wanting one and one wanting the other. What plans do you have? Ours will be quiet, hoorah! No cooking for the masses. :D

Remember you can track where Santa is all over the world with Norad as he hands out his presents. This is one of my favorite things to do on Christmas Eve, watching where he is especially seeing him reach other parts of the world where I have family. Kids LOVE it and their excitement is infectious!

nope, not ready here Frown

I have a handfull of people still to buy for.  I was going to wrap it up this afternoon, but my littlest elf decided to wake us up late last night with a “sick” surprise.  so today I am home with her and NOT getting my last minute shopping done.  The weekend will be a busy one as well.

fortunately, or not, we do the family shuffle, so no cooking for me either! which is good, because I have no decorations up!  ugh, it's a bah humbug year at my house.

LOL, very good! I used that site before but had forgotten all about it. There was a Scrooge version too. Do they still have that too? I liked the Scrooge even more. :)

Thank you very much everyone. Glad you enjoyed watching us, elves. Smile Hmmmm…I can't seem to find Scrooge on the website, Kay. They only have elves but it would be nice if they have others, too. It's hilarious!

Sorry, I completely missed that post. Diane, we've been so busy here we haven't done a thing either - not a decoration up and I barely made sending off the overseas cards and gifts on time by the skin of my teeth. You're not alone…and I still don't have my turkey or ham! Our shopping plans were thwarted too not by sickness but by the weather. Every road was like a skating rink. Today and yesterday we were at 5 degrees F and I'm chilled to the bone just with taking the dogs out occasionally.

How's the wee one, is she ok now?

Awww bummer, it was very fun too! Couldn't have been as popular perhaps but I liked it. It only came up as an option after you'd made your elves one the year I did it so they must have dropped it. Ah well. Thanks for looking anyway! :)

oh yeah, she got it, was sick for 3 days, then passed it along to her sister … I just LOVE stomach bugs!!  lol  NOT!!

of course, in beween one getting better and the other getting sick, we spent a whole day with family.  I have an irate aunt calling to tell me that her son is sick, my son is blaming the girls, yet my other nieces are perfectly healthy (and they were all over my girls) … I have a hard time believing that my girls got them sick … especially since I was the one cleaning it all up and I am fine!

LOL, well I can tell you we've all been sick here on and off over the last few months between flus and bugs. They're everywhere so it's not easy to blame one person. He's more likely to have got it in some germ filled public place than from a few hourse spent with you guys.

I can't believe people get mad over someone getting sick when they've been near sick people anyway. That's crazy. If it's going to happen, it happens.

that's the way I saw it, Kay, but oh well.  It seems this stomach bug is everywhere right now and I was telling my son that he really needs to wash his hands more often - lol.  He plays with his dog, then comes in and grabs a snack.  I'm not obsessive over washing my hands, but when I am dealing with food and animals and sick children, I make a conscious effort to wash and sanitize more often.
