 In Australia, older mothers are now far more common than they were ten years ago according to the numbers out from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.


OLDER mums are rewriting the record books with a 500 per cent increase in those aged between 45 and 49 who gave birth last year compared with a decade ago.

That is true. Some people I know rushed into marriage and having a baby. Because of this, they are facing heavy financial problems. This causes their marriage to fail and ended up in a divorce at a young age.


I'm not saying that young mothers are immature but this is more often the case that older moms are more mature and therefore better in bringing up children.

I think you're in a much better position when you're older to give babies more. A lot of your biggest debts almost behind you if for example you took out a mortgage in your early twenties. The only real benefit I can see to youth is having more energy but of course some forty year olds are far healthier than the average twenty five year old.
