Bottle propping can cause the development of Nursing bottle syndrome. This happens when the infant is put to bed with a bottle of milk, juice or any sweet liquids. As the infant sucks the liquid are spread over the teeth. Sleeping slows the saliva and the sweet liquid stays in the infants’ mouth, causing tooth decay. Nursing bottle syndrome can also happen if the infant is given soother that has been dipped in honey, sugar or syrup.

Yeah that does happen but how can we avoid it?

It doesnt happen to everyone but is it inevitable?
