The Thrill of Disney High School Musical Karaoke Music
Karaoke is probably one of the favorite pastimes of people nowadays.
Fueled by their friends? cheers and hyped by man?s natural love for music, brave souls get up on the stage and sing their hearts out.
Karaoke has now evolved into a certified fun group activity.
So it was no surprise when the karaoke music version of Disney?s ?High School Musical? proved to be a hit.
But where did karaoke come from, anyway?
Karaoke actually came from the Japan. ?Karaoke? is a conjunction of the words ?karappo? and ?okesutura?, which literally mean ?empty orchestra?.
Since its invention 20 years ago, the Karaoke has entertained legions of friends and family members.
There is a story concerning the invention of karaoke.
Live music from strolling musicians often provided the main entertainment in snack bars in Kobe, Japan.
Some days, the strolling guitarists could not come and play so the owner had to devise a way of providing entertainment for the customers.
The solution he came up with involved pre-recording the guitarist?s music on tape, and then playing them back for the customers to sing-along with.
And that is the story of the birth of karaoke.
From then on, Karaoke gained popularity in Japan because of the fact that Japanese are party animals who appreciate the value of a good time.
The Japanese also had no qualms about singing in public and greatly appreciated the efforts of others in singing.
The karaoke soon became popular worldwide. The user-friendly interface of karaoke machines enabled people to sing like professionals.
The words also appear on the screen, so you can easily sing along to the music, even if you do not memorize the lyrics.
The technology is constantly evolving, enabling easier usage and adding activities that make singing more fun.
People also hold karaoke parties, such as the one featured in Disney?s High school reunion.
The main characters, Troy and Gabriella, first feel their harmony while singing together at a karaoke party.
The fact that a karaoke party is one of the main scenes in the movie may have caused Disney to air the Karaoke music version of the movie.
They even encouraged people to hold their own karaoke parties while watching High School Musical?s karaoke music version.
Most people found singing along to the movie fun and refreshing.
After all, how many musicals have you watched where the words were available for you to sing along to the music?
Usually you have to buy the sound track in order to sing along to your favorite parts of a musical.
Speaking of sound tracks, the High School Musical Sound track CD contains two songs in karaoke version.
Don?t you wish there were more?
The two songs available in karaoke version are: ?The Start of Something New? and ?Breaking Free?.
These 2 songs are probably easier to follow because of the tempo and the fact that they are both duets makes them even more attractive as sing-along songs.
People, after all, still prefer to sing karaoke if they have a companion on stage.
Some would choose a friend who they can trust and who can give them the confidence boost they need to get up and sing.
Still others would choose to sing the duets with a special someone, savoring the lyrics and the message of love in the song while singing together in glorious harmony.
Still, kids just want to have fun singing along to songs of a movie they saw, and pretending they are a part of the High School Musical Phenomenon.
Kids will be kids.
