What needs to be done in order to make High School Musical 2 a bigger hit than part 1?
Have you ever read a story so good that you wish it never ended?
Have you ever experienced the bittersweet feeling when you get to the end of a particularly good story? Have you ever had that feeling of regret that the story is already ending and simultaneously felt the joy that a conclusion inevitably produces?
Have you ever watched a movie so good that you stay in the cinema and viewed it 2 or three more times just to see if something else happens, even though you already know every line in the movie?
Most people agree that the feelings and reactions above can only be produced by particularly good movies.
Some movies may leave you feeling so contented that you do not really care to see them again. These movies are the ones that are enjoyable enough while being viewed, but then fail to arouse the viewer?s interest enough to be watched again.
Some movies are good and beautiful, but lack in entertainment value. These movies are the types that only experts appreciate. They may win awards and get great reviews, but the public just is not interested in them.
Think of ?The Aviator?, it got a lot of nominations from awards communities, but no one really went to see it. It was even outsold by the highly-criticized movie ?White Chicks?.
Movies really need to keep in mind that most people who go to the cinema go there for entertainment. If people wanted something deeper, then they would flock independent and art-film festivals.
Still other movies are just plain bad. You only go to see this type of movie because you may have been duped by the advertising community into thinking that it was actually good.
Those movies, however, just leave you feeling like something was taken from you which you can never get back.
TV movies usually get mixed reactions. Some TV movies are so low quality that people only watch them because there is nothing else on.
Still, some TV movies get such unusually high reactions that you would wonder why they did not release them into theatres.
One such TV movie is High School Musical. This movie, which premiered last January on the Disney channel, was so good that 7.7 million people watched it during the premiere.
The support for the movie and the soundtrack may have left Disney wondering why they did not release it into theatres instead of TV.
Still, the production for High School Musical 2 has now been started and things may be looking up for fans of the movie.
The fact that people do not really see musicals as entertaining movie experiences may have affected Disney?s decision to put the movie on TV.
However, with the right marketing strategy, High School Musical 2 may actually make it big in the box office.
First of all, High School Musical has some awesome singers as shown by the popularity of the soundtrack.
Disney?s ability to develop singers? potentials has been proven by time.
However, some of the performers are virtually unknown and need more exposure to the entertainment media.
High School Musical may very well be the break most are looking for in order to get into deeper acting.
High School Musical 2 also needs to adopt a ?newer? storyline. The plot of High School musical was so old and predictable that some people only viewed it for the song and dance.
These are just some of the things that need to be improved to make High School Musical 2 a big hit.
With the first part setting a high standard, High School Musical 2 definitely needs hard work.
